ASHRAE funds research into areas related the HVAC industry.

Research projects that go through TC 1.2 are related to more fundamental forms of research.

Presently, we have one ongoing research project RP 1245, "Determine the Effect of Duct Fittings on Air Flow Traverses." This project is co-sponsored by TC 7.7 Testing & Balancing. The project is being conducted by Kansas State University. The lead investigator is Bruce Babin.

The research subcommittee chair is Frank Spevak.
